Momentum Bites

These puff-pastry swirls are all about movement and comfort: melty cheese, a touch of pesto, and optional ham (or a vegan alternative). Warm, crispy, quick to make.

Ingredients

(makes approx. 12–16 bites)

  • 1 sheet of ready-rolled puff pastry
  • 3–4 tbsp green pesto (regular or vegan)
  • 80–100 g grated cheese (e.g. mozzarella, cheddar, or a vegan cheese blend)
  • 3–4 slices of cooked ham or vegan ham alternative (optional)
  • 1 egg for brushing (or plant milk for a vegan option)
  • A pinch of dried oregano or Italian herbs
  • Fresh basil to garnish (optional)

How to make it

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and spread a thin, even layer of pesto over the entire sheet.
  3. Sprinkle the grated cheese generously on top.
  4. Add small pieces of ham or vegan ham (optional).
  5. Roll the pastry up tightly from the long edge to form a log.
  6. Slice the log into 1.5–2 cm wide swirls and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush with whisked egg (or plant milk).
  8. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of herbs over the top.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden, crispy, and beautifully swirled.
  10. Let them cool slightly – and enjoy while they’re still warm.

A quick note before the confetti starts

This page is a purely personal farewell project from me and is not connected to ANDRITZ Schuler.
It’s neither a corporate website nor an official event – just a personal “thank you” for everyone who received the password.

And because it’s a private project: best to enjoy it like any other little private break – as a short moment to breathe during the day, or in your own time after work. 🙂
